Danran Li maintains a board corporate practice, with a particular focus on cross-border transactions and guiding international clients through the complexities of the Chinese market.

Danran has experience providing comprehensive legal services to a diverse range of clients in emerging industries, including health care, biotechnology, and new energy. She regularly advises foreign investors on market entry strategies, structuring investments, and establishing presence through WFOEs (wholly foreign-owned enterprises) and joint ventures in China.

Her work encompasses the entire investment life cycle, from initial formation and navigating complex regulatory approval processes, to ongoing corporate matters. Danran manages critical issues related to employment and compensation, corporate governance, and financing. She leverages her deep understanding of local regulations and international business practices to deliver pragmatic and commercially focused advice.

In addition to her inbound investment practice, Danran represents Chinese companies in their outbound investments, advising on legal and regulatory aspects of overseas acquisitions and market expansion. She frequently coordinates with Jones Day's worldwide network of offices to deliver integrated legal support on complex multijurisdictional transactions.

Danran is a native speaker in Mandarin and is fluent in English.
