Selien Coolen focuses her practice on general corporate litigation matters and civil proceedings, particularly before the Enterprise Chamber of the Amsterdam Court of Appeal. Her experience covers complex commercial disputes, shareholder disputes, directors' and professional liability, contract law, and disputes related to breach of contract, tort, and damage claims.
Recent representations include, among others, representing TMF Netherlands B.V. in a court case concerning a professional liability matter; Nuon Power Projects in claiming damages due to negligent dredging by Boskalis; and European Wellness Spa S.a.r.l. in a dispute involving a director and shareholder who left the company prematurely.
Prior to joining Jones Day in 2015, Selien worked as a court clerk at the Civil Department of the Court of Maastricht and the Court of Amsterdam.
