Koch reaches agreement to acquire Wever fertilizer plant from OCI Global

Client(s) Koch Industries, Inc.

Jones Day is advising Koch Ag & Energy Solutions, LLC, an affiliate of Koch Industries, Inc., in the $3.6 billion acquisition of Iowa Fertilizer Company (IFCO) from OCI N.V., a Netherlands-based producer and distributor of hydrogen products.

IFCO operates a state-of-the-art fertilizer plant in Wever, Iowa that produces up to 3.5 million metric tons of nitrogen fertilizers and diesel exhaust fluid annually.

The transaction is subject to HSR clearance and other customary closing conditions and is expected to close in 2024.
