片平享介は、主に日本や米国の多国籍企業に対して国際税務に関するアドバイスを提供しています。過去10年にわたり、M&A、ジョイント・ベンチャー、販売代理店及びライセンス契約等、多岐にわたるクロスボーダー取引に関与しており、豊富な実務経験を有しています。

片平享介は税務プラクティス・グループに属しており、アウトバウンド取引及びインバウンド取引の双方から生じる様々な税務問題について助言を行っています。インバウンド取引においては、米国をはじめとする外国のクライアントに対し、日本における事業開始やリストラクチャリングにかかる国内税法上の問題や、渉外取引について生じる租税条約上の問題等についてアドバイスを提供しています。また、アウトバウンド取引に従事する日本企業に対し、日本のタックスヘイブン対策税制上の問題や、国外での組織再編から生じる日本の税務問題等についてアドバイスを提供しています。さらに、税務調査においてクライアントを代理し、複雑な税務問題に関してポジション・ペーパーを作成するなどの業務も行っています。

片平享介はワシントンD.C.オフィスおよびニューヨークオフィスにて米国の税務プラクティスに従事した経験もあり、国外に本社を移転するコーポレート・インバージョン、FATCA(外国口座税務コンプライアンス法)やFBAR(外国銀行・金融口座報告)等の情報申告制度、外国税額控除の濫用防止規定、非営利団体のための非課税制度等の分野に深い知見を有しています。税務分野のみならず、クロスボーダーM&A(対内、対外双方)、ジョイント・ベンチャー、不動産取引や販売代理店契約等の企業法務等、幅広い分野に経験を有しています。また、不正事件の調査についての実績もあります。

近時では、日本のエンターテイメント会社の株式売却について、海外のPEファンドに対する助言を行いました。

東京大学法学部を卒業(2002年 学士、2004年 修士)後、ニューヨーク大学ロースクール(修士)を2014年に卒業しています。ニューヨーク大学では国際租税プログラムに参加し、同プログラム内の成績優秀者として表彰されました。
