TSRC acquires Dexco Polymers for US$168 million

Client(s) TSRC Corporation

Jones Day advised TSRC Corporation in its acquisition of Dexco Polymers from The Dow Chemical Company, ExxonMobil Chemical Company, a division of Exxon Mobil Corporation, and certain of their respective affiliates for US$168 million. Dexco Polymers is a manufacturer of styrenic block copolymers (SBCs) selling mainly into the US and Europe. Combined with TSRC's presence in Asia, the acquisition increased TSRC's global footprint, making it one of the top five global producers of SBCs.

In addition to M&A representation, Jones Day provided TSRC advice in a number of substantive areas in connection with the transaction, including intellectual property, tax, environmental, labor and employment, employee benefits, and antitrust matters.
