The Unitary Patent and Unified Patent Court

The European Patent with Unitary Effect ("Unitary Patent") and the Unified Patent Court ("UPC") will enter into force and become operational on June 1, 2023. This is the most significant change in European patent law since the creation of the European Patent Office in 1977.

We have a dedicated UPC Task Force, and our Insights are designed to inform companies on how to prepare for the new system.
