Dave Maiorana is a trial lawyer with a notable combination of significant experience as a United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) Examiner and more than 25 years litigating complex IP matters. He has represented clients around the country and in the International Trade Commission (ITC). Dave has experience in diverse technology areas, including e-cigarettes, teeth whitening, diapers, fem care, antibodies, self-inflating tires, flash memory, and digital cameras.

Dave regularly serves as first-chair trial counsel in the ITC, including recently for R.J. Reynolds as complainant in an ITC investigation involving tobacco heating products and e-cigarettes, resulting in exclusion and cease-and-desist orders fully affirmed by the Federal Circuit.

Dave has successfully represented Procter & Gamble for many years, including as lead counsel in complex patent litigation matters.

Dave leverages his USPTO and trial lawyer experience as lead counsel in many inter partes review (IPR) proceedings before the PTAB (Patent Trial and Appeal Board) on behalf of patent owners and petitioners.
