Marta Lahuerta Escolano focuses on digital infrastructure transactions worldwide. She advises major international tech groups, operators, private equity firms, infrastructure, real estate, and investment funds on transactional, litigation, and regulatory matters related to digital infrastructure.

Marta is an experienced legal practitioner with comprehensive knowledge across all segments of the digital infrastructure sector. Her practice encompasses data centers, cloud networks, subsea cable systems, TowerCo deals, satellite projects, and terrestrial fiber networks on a global scale.

She advises on complex transactional matters, including joint ventures, NewCo formations, corporate carve-outs, asset and share deals, privatizations, and public-private partnerships. She possesses extensive experience negotiating and drafting the full suite of commercial agreements associated with digital infrastructure, including master service agreements, lease arrangements, supply contracts, landing party agreements, construction and maintenance agreements, operations and maintenance contracts, IRUs (indefeasible rights of use), and IP-link arrangements. She has advised telecom operators and TowerCos with M&A and lease back transactions (both on sale and buy-side) for the last decade in Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, and Africa. She also advises data center developers, owners, and operators with the negotiation of leases, colocation agreements, and telecommunications master services agreements across the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) region. She has worked on more than 25 subsea cable projects worldwide, establishing herself as a leading advisor in this highly specialized sector. Her portfolio extends to satellite and LEO (low earth orbit) satellite projects and arbitration, as well as numerous terrestrial fiber deployments on a global scale.
