Atlas Energy completes $600 million private placement of Common and Class D Units and acquires DTE Gas & Oil

Jones Day advised Atlas Energy Resources, LLC, an independent developer and producer of natural gas and oil, in its $600 million private placement of Common and Class D Units using UBS Securities LLC as placement agent. Jones Day also advised the client in its $1.26 billion acquisition of DTE Gas & Oil Company (DGO) from DTE Energy Company.

DGO owns interests in approximately 2,150 natural gas wells producing from the Antrim Shale, located in Michigan's northern lower peninsula. The Antrim Shale is a mature play characterized by long-lived reserves and predictable production rates.
