Hispanic Affinity Group

Created for the purpose of supporting Jones Day's Inclusion efforts, the Hispanic Lawyers Affinity Group seeks to support and retain Hispanic attorneys at the Firm by creating an informal infrastructure to support cross-office and cross-practice networking and mentorship.

The Hispanic Lawyers Affinity Group is co-chaired by partners Kelly Carrero (New York), José Isasi (Chicago), Enrique Lemus (Dallas) and Cheryl O’Connor (Irvine), and welcomes participation from lawyers across the Firm. Jones Day Partner Isel Perez Selected as an "On the Rise" Winner for the Florida Legal Awards

Isel Perez, a partner in Jones Day's Business Restructuring & Reorganization Practice, was recognized by the Daily Business Review and [Law.com](http://Law.com) as a lawyer "On the Rise" at the 2026 Florida Legal Awards event. The Florida Legal Awards annually recognize those who have made significant contributions to the legal industry in Florida. Isel's practice focuses on business restructuring matters. She has represented clients in complex, high-profile chapter 11 cases (including mass tort chapter 11 cases), cross-border insolvencies, and distressed M&A transactions. She is also active in the Firm's nationwide pro bono efforts to assist unaccompanied minors and women seeking refuge in the United States from violence in Central America.
