Jones Day acted as Dutch corporate and tax counsel to Verizon Communications, Inc. in the $130 billion acquisition for the 45 percent stake in Verizon Wireless owned by British cellphone carrier Vodafone, including the sale of Verizon's 23.1 percent minority stake in Vodafone Omnitel N.V. to Vodafone for $3.5 billion.
