Eliot Pedrosa is a first-chair litigator and trial lawyer with more than 25 years of experience representing businesses in complex litigation, and he serves as head of litigation for the Firm's Miami Office.
Eliot has first chaired more than 20 trials and arbitrations, including over a dozen jury trials throughout Florida.
Eliot has led trial teams in commercial and products liability cases involving multiple industries including M&A, software licensing, broadcast media rights, and international commercial transactions. A native Spanish speaker, Eliot has in-depth knowledge of Latin American law and finance, having served as the Senate-confirmed Executive Director of the Inter-American Development Bank. He also often counsels and defends clients in connection with investigations by the Florida Attorney General and other regulatory and law enforcement agencies, and earlier in his career he served in the SEC's Enforcement Division, investigating violations of the federal securities laws. Eliot also provides pro bono legal services in high-profile matters, including representing human trafficking victims and bringing a First Amendment challenge on behalf of a private, Christian school.
Eliot serves the State of Florida in two roles. Governor Ron DeSantis appointed Eliot to the Florida Eleventh Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission, which he currently chairs, and Florida Supreme Court Chief Justice Carlos Muniz appointed him to Florida's Judicial Management Council, a 15-member panel that advises the Florida Supreme Court on the administration of the judicial branch in Florida.
