Head of the Intellectual Property Practice in Australia, Lisa Taliadoros has nearly 20 years of experience focusing on multijurisdictional patent litigation in the life sciences field, including in relation to small molecules and biologics. She is also the Jones Day Diversity partner for Australia.

Lisa acts for clients in patent disputes involving key technology and blockbuster pharmaceuticals. She recently acted in the High Court of Australia in matters involving Myriad's BRA1 (breast cancer) patents and Sanofi's leflunomide patent for the treatment of skin disorders and arthritic conditions. Lisa is also currently acting for Abbvie in relation to Humira, Sanofi in relation to Praluent (PCSK9), and Toolgen Inc. in relation to revolutionary CRISPR gene editing technology. In addition, she has acted for other large multinational pharmaceutical companies in matters relating to patents for new compounds, biologics, biosimilars, drug formulations, drug delivery devices, dental technology, and methods of treatment.

Prior to obtaining her law degree, Lisa was a scientist at two of Australia's preeminent research organizations, the CSIRO and the Centenary Institute of Cell Biology and Cancer Medicine. During that time she was involved in research projects concerning the development of vaccines for avian infectious bronchitis virus and investigating the role of lymphotoxin alpha in the pathogenesis of autoimmune disorders.
