Jinko Solar and Energía Solar San Ignacio complete $31 million 25.02 MWp photovoltaic solar power plant project in Mexico

Jones Day represented Jinko Solar, as sponsor, and its project company, Energía Solar San Ignacio, S. de R.L de C.V., in connection with the development, construction, operation, and financing of Jinko’s 25.02 MWp photovoltaic solar power plant and associated electrical substation and interconnection line located in the State of Yucatan in the municipality of San Ignacio, Progreso, Mexico. The overall project value is approximately $31 million, with the $20.8 million debt package provided by MUFG Bank, Ltd. The San Ignacio plant is one of three projects awarded to Jinko under Mexico’s first long-term renewable energy auction in 2016.
