NXP sues Impinj for infringing six patents relating to RFID and wafer-layout technology

Jones Day is representing NXP USA, Inc. and NXP B.V. in their enforcement of six radio frequency identification ("RFID") and wafer-layout patents against Impinj, Inc. Jones Day persuaded the United States Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) to deny institution of inter partes review (IPR) proceedings filed by Impinj challenging four of the patents. Jones Day has also filed actions to enforce the foreign counterparts to three of the patents in China.
