Total acquires 70 percent interest in V Energy

Jones Day advised Total Marketing Services regarding the acquisition of a majority 70 percent interest in V Energy, the Dominican Republic's leading fuel retailer. The transaction includes a well established network of 130 stations, along with significant commercial oil products and lubricants sales positions. Putney Capital Management, an affiliate of the Vicini group, will retain a 30 percent interest in the joint venture to be named Total Dominicana. Total Dominicana will be managed as part of Total's network of 600 service stations throughout nine countries in the Caribbean.
