Jones Day advised Tillman Global Holdings LLC in the autumn of 2013 on the establishment and financing of its Apollo Towers business in Myanmar, which will provide Telenor Myanmar with a mobile telecoms infrastructure in Myanmar (Burma). Telenor was one of two mobile operators that were awarded the first nationwide telecommunications licenses by the Union Government of Myanmar following a strongly contested license award process. Telenor intends to have available a state of the art mobile network using HSPA and LTE-ready technologies, with network coverage for 90 percent of the Myanmar population within five years.
