Interburns receives help with new key internal policies

Client(s) Interburns

Jones Day assisted Interburns, an international network of expert burns care professionals and charity seeking to transform the global provision of burns care in low and middle income countries, with drafting a number of key internal policies. The policies included an equal opportunities policy, volunteer policy, data protection policy and procurement policy. Richard Bendell (on behalf of Interburns) commented:

"Jones Day provided us with a range of valuable pro bono legal and technical advice, including the drafting of a number of important internal policies that will inform our overseas work and ensure we are able to deliver medical support and training programmes to health care professionals in both countries effectively. Although we were a pro bono client, the support we received was of the highest quality. This enabled us to put in place a number of key organisational policies in a short time frame, in preparation for the start of an important international project that has the potential to transform the standard of care provided to burn patients in Bangladesh and Nepal. Our experience of working with the team at Jones Day was very positive and we are extremely grateful for their support, particularly as we would not have been able to access this expertise without their pro bono programme."
