Atlas Pipeline Partners acquires Cardinal Midstream for $603.4 million

Client(s) Atlas Pipeline Partners, L.P.

Jones Day advised Atlas Pipeline Partners, L.P. in its acquisition of 100 percent of the equity interests in three wholly-owned subsidiaries of Cardinal Midstream, LLC for $603.4 million.

The assets of these companies include gas gathering, processing and treating facilities in Oklahoma, Texas, and Arkansas.  The companies' Oklahoma assets gather, treat, dehydrate, process, and compress natural gas produced from the Arkoma Woodford shale. Additionally, Atlas has acquired Cardinal's 60% interest in the Centrahoma joint venture that currently exists between Cardinal and MarkWest Energy.

In addition to M&A representation, Jones Day provided energy, employee benefits, intellectual property, and antitrust advice regarding this transaction.
