Jones Day-led deal named Towers Deal of the Year by TMT Finance
TMT Finance has recognized a Jones Day-led deal as "Towers Deal of the Year" as part of its TMT Finance Awards USA 2025, which "celebrates excellence in dealmaking and investment within digital infrastructure."
Jones Day led Verizon’s $3.3 billion prepaid lease transaction with Vertical Bridge. In connection with the transaction, Vertical Bridge obtained the exclusive rights to lease, operate, and manage more than 6,000 wireless communications towers across all 50 states and Washington, D.C. from subsidiaries of Verizon.
The cross-practice and cross-office Jones Day team that advised Verizon was led by Brian Sedlak (Chicago) and A. Michael Lee (Atlanta) on real estate; Jeff Litle (Columbus) and Andy Levine (New York) on corporate; and Steve Parrinello (New York) on tax.
