For more than 20 years, Martin Schulz has represented strategic and private equity clients in cross-border and domestic M&A transactions and joint ventures ranging in size from several millions up to several billions of euros as well as in complex corporate restructurings.
Martin has advised clients in many industries, including energy, pharmaceuticals, automotive, manufacturing, technology, and online retail. Recently, he represented a large pharmaceutical group in the carve-out of its German active pharmaceutical ingredients business; a large energy group in the sale of its German electricity and gas trading business; Amadeus FiRe in the acquisition of Comcave, a provider of occupational training services; Fosun in the acquisition of FFT Group, a global supplier of manufacturing systems; Essilor in the acquisition of the Brille24 group, an online retailer of glasses and lenses; Corsair Gaming, Inc., a portfolio company of EagleTree Capital, in the acquisition of the gaming division of Elgato Systems GmbH, which develops, designs, and manufactures video game streaming software and hardware products; and Compagnie Plastic Omnium in the acquisition of 33.3% of the shares in HBPO Group held by Mahle GmbH to increase its overall stake to 66.6%.
