Dr. Martin Kock represents clients in domestic and international transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and venture capital transactions. For more than 20 years clients have turned to Martin for his ability to efficiently find and negotiate attractive commercial solutions for complex legal issues.

Martin has significant experience in the area of cross-border compliance investigations and recently was one of the leaders of a large multinational cross-border investigation in connection with proceedings initiated by U.S. and German regulatory and law enforcement authorities.

Martin advised the former DAB Bank AG and European Bank for Financial Services (ebase), both Munich-based financial institutions, in connection with their takeover by foreign acquirers. He also assisted institutional investors, including Deutsche Telekom, Entrepreneurs Fund, Prime Ventures, and XAnge Private Equity, with respect to the acquisition and sale of portfolio companies. Martin advises U.S. companies, including Electronic Theatre Controls, a global leader in the design and manufacture of lighting products, in compliance and commercial matters.

In 1998, Martin became managing partner of the Hong Kong office of a leading German law firm. In 2002, he was one of the founding partners of the first German office of another U.S. law firm. He is a member of the German-American Lawyers' Association and the German Institute for Arbitration.
