Levent Hergüner is a skilled intellectual property and technology lawyer with a robust background in computer science and engineering. As an experienced litigator with extensive trial experience, Levent handles all phases of cases before federal courts and the International Trade Commission (ITC), including managing discovery, performing infringement and validity analysis, drafting dispositive motions, conducting depositions, and preparing witnesses for hearings. He collaborates closely with technical experts to translate intricate technologies into persuasive legal narratives.

In his transactions practice, Levent advises on corporate IP strategy, open-source software compliance, and due diligence. He drafts and reviews license agreements, evaluates patent portfolios, and structures contracts that secure and commercialize innovation.

He regularly contributes to Jones Day's publications and has counseled technology clients on cybersecurity, data privacy, white collar, and antitrust matters. Before joining Jones Day, he interned at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
