Verizon negotiates collective bargaining agreement with Communications Workers of America

Client(s) Verizon Communications, Inc.

Jones Day advised Verizon Communications, Inc. (New York, NY) in 2003, 2008, and 2011 in connection with its collective bargaining negotiations with the Communications Workers of America representing Verizon employees up and down the East Coast and in related state court injunction proceedings. Jones Day also helped the client to prepare for a possible strike, including preparing to respond to work stoppages, work slowdowns, violence, sabotage, and other union misconduct. In addition, Jones Day handled unfair labor practice charges that were filed by the Union with the NLRB and advised the client on a variety of other issues associated with contract negotiations.
