ENI group completes acquisition of block of shares in Altergaz

After assisting the ENI group in the December 2010 acquisition of the shares held by the founders of Altergaz S.A., a company that operates in the mass market segment of the French gas market and that is listed on the "marché libre", Jones Day assisted the ENI group in the acquisition of approximately 38% of the share capital of Altergaz S.A. from certain minority shareholders and related settlement of minority shareholder litigation increasing ENI's stake from approximately 60% to 98%.
