United Airlines's dismissal of mass-action lawsuit upheld by Seventh Circuit

Jones Day presented oral argument and secured affirmance for United Airlines, its Board, officers, and executives by the U.S. Court of Appeals for Seventh Circuit of the dismissal of claims by approximately 30 United Airlines employees who had challenged the company's COVID-19 policies. In its decision, the Seventh Circuit upheld in full the district court's dismissal of Plaintiffs' claims in this mass-action lawsuit under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FDCA), Illinois Whistleblower Act, Title VII, state tort law and the U.S. Constitution.
