Hesh Parlikad represents companies and financial institutions in all phases of litigation, including trial, arbitration, and appellate proceedings. His practice focuses on disputes involving complex financial products and securities, and he has litigated and tried novel disputes arising out of the Lehman bankruptcy concerning derivatives governed by ISDA documentation. He also has represented financial institutions in prelitigation and litigation matters concerning securitizations and structured financial products.
In addition, Hesh has in-depth experience with cross-border issues arising from claims based on the U.S. securities laws against foreign issuers. He advised Tech Mahindra on the U.S. securities laws that were implicated in its successful acquisition of India-based and NYSE-listed Satyam Computer Services in 2009. Since then, he has advised Tech Mahindra in securities and investor cases in the United States and England. By coordinating court and regulatory proceedings in the U.S., England, and India, Hesh helped Tech Mahindra successfully resolve much of the worldwide investor claims faced by Satyam. He frequently counsels other clients on diverse cross-border legal issues involving India as well.
