Paul Melot de Beauregard advises clients on the entire spectrum of national and international labor and employment law, focusing on restructurings, corporate compliance, and litigation as well as negotiations with trade unions and works councils. He also advises on benefits and service agreements with board members, managing directors, and senior executives and on operational pensions and outsourcing. His experience covers leading international groups and companies in a range of industries.

In addition, Paul regularly counsels companies on obligations and the liability of board members and managing directors, including directors and officers liability insurance (D&O), and on board affairs and compliance with the legal framework at the company and group levels. He has extensive experience with separation and liability processes in and out of court; in implementing compensation and benefits systems; in litigation, arbitration, and negotiations involving all kinds of labor and employment issues; in supporting human resources departments in matters with employment agencies and in tax and social security issues; and advising on secondments and international human resources projects including groupwide transfer of personal data and observance of international labor standards/human rights in the supply chain and other ESG (environmental, social, and governance) matters.

Paul is a board member of pro bono Deutschland e.V., an organization supported by law firms advocating for the establishment and promotion of pro bono work in Germany. He is also an honorary professor at the faculty of law at FernUniversität Hagen and serves on the board of the leading German law and economy journal Der Betrieb. He regularly speaks and lectures in Germany and abroad on topics regarding human resources, corporate compliance, and labor law.
