Jones Day assisted the Togolese Agency for Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy in negotiating the contractual documentation for the development of a 70 MW photovoltaic plant in Blitta (Togo, Africa) to be operated by an independent power producer. Our work included the review and negotiation of the project documentation and the drafting and negotiation of the financing documentation (credit agreement between the State and the project company), as well as concessional loan agreements, including the drafting and negotiations of amendments to capture the extension of the installed capacity from 50 MW to 70 MW and the installation of a storage unit.
