Minted dismisses patent infringement claims related to e-commerce

Client(s) Minted, Inc. and Minted LLC

Jones Day represented Minted, LLC as co-counsel in defense of a patent infringement lawsuit alleging infringement of a patent related to shopping cart technology used in Minted's e-commerce website. The case was dismissed based on a finding that the asserted claims were ineligible for patent protection, and were directed to unpatentable subject matter. The Court also awarded attorneys fees and costs to Minted and the other named defendants.
