Franco Associates and Franco Holdings file proof of claim in multi-million dollar bankruptcy of general contractor

Client(s) Franco Associates and Franco Holdings, Inc.

Jones Day represented Franco Associates and Franco Holdings, Inc. as a masonry contractor in connection with unpaid fees and expenses of over $1 million from a general contractor on a multi-million dollar hotel construction project. The general contract was forced into bankruptcy reorganization by creditors. Our client was one of the top 5 unsecured creditors. We filed a proof of claim and served, on behalf of our client, on the unsecured creditors' committee before the case was converted from a Chapter 11 reorganization to a Chapter 7 liquidation.
