Cameron Family Glass Packaging engages in mediation with EPC Contractor over construction and design defects at new wine glass bottle manufacturing plant

Jones Day advised Cameron Family Glass Packaging, LLC as the owner of a wine glass bottle manufacturing plant with the world's largest electric melter in connection with disputes against the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor. There was a catastrophic failure of the electric melter that gave rise to construction and design defect claims. In addition, there were other construction and design defect claims against the EPC contractor unrelated to the electric melter failure. Jones Day assisted with claim preparation and represented our client in multiple mediation sessions before the American Arbitration Association. Jones Day also advised our client in connection with the rebuild of the electric melter and other contractual warranty claims.
