Class actions defense litigator Christine Tran joins Jones Day
Christine Tran has joined Jones Day as a partner in its Global Disputes Practice. She is based in the Firm's Sydney Office.
Ms. Tran has more than 17 years of experience as a commercial litigator, with a particular focus in defending class actions. She has represented clients in a number of the most significant class actions filed in Australia and is highly regarded for her work advising clients in complex securities claims. Ms. Tran is one of the few practitioners in Australia with trial experience in both shareholder and product liability class actions, and she regularly counsels leading Australian and multinational companies in a wide range of industries with the effective management of class action risks.

She will work alongside Jones Day colleagues who focus on class actions defense work around the world and will form part of the global offering to meet client needs wherever that may arise.

Ms. Tran earned her law degree from the University of New South Wales and a master of laws degree focusing on complex litigation from New York University. She has been recognized as a Next Generation Partner in Class Actions by Legal 500, a Leading Class Actions Lawyer by Doyles Guide, a Future Star in Class Actions and a Future Star in Litigation by Benchmark's Guide to Litigation in Asia-Pacific, a Litigation Rising Star by Lawyerly, and has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in Australia in Litigation, Class Action Litigation, Product Liability Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution.
