Jones Day's Kcehowski and Brady among City & State Pennsylvania's "Law Power 100" for 2022

Jones Day partners Rebekah Byers Kcehowski and Scott Brady are together ranked #3 among the 2022 "Law Power 100" profiled by City & State Pennsylvania. The Law Power list includes "district attorneys, federal prosecutors, white-collar defense attorneys, public interest lawyers, law school deans and bar association leaders," who are prominent legal professionals locally and nationally, and "shaping the direction of the state politically, legally and otherwise."

Ms. Kcehowski is Partner-in-Charge of, and head of litigation for, Jones Day's Pittsburgh Office. As trial counsel in class actions, multidistrict litigations, and cross-jurisdiction proceedings, she helps clients navigate complex consumer and commercial matters. For years, she has broken down tough issues for judges and juries, with two decades of experience litigating putative class cases and multiforum disputes in state and federal courts and international tribunals, and she has defeated class certification in cases seeking hundreds of millions. Her breadth of experience yields creative approaches—including strategies to stop meritless mass and commercial actions before or shortly after they begin.

Prior to rejoining Jones Day, Mr. Brady served as U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Pennsylvania. During his tenure, he led coordinated actions with agencies across the United States and Europe to combat cybercrime, fight hate crime and terrorism, and prosecute fraud. Under his direction, the U.S. Attorney's Office brought charges following the tragic shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, prosecuted officers of the Russian Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU) for global cyberattacks, created a first-in-the-nation joint task force with the Pennsylvania Attorney General to investigate coronavirus-related fraud, and served on the Attorney General's Advisory Committee.

City & State Pennsylvania serves leaders in the Commonwealth by covering state and local government, along with political and advocacy news.
