Paul Melot de Beauregard advises clients on the entire spectrum of national and international labor and employment law, focusing on restructurings, transactions, and negotiations with trade unions and works councils. He also advises on benefits and service agreements with board members, managing directors, and senior executives and on compliance issues, operational pensions, and outsourcing. He has advised significant players in the banking, chemical, manufacturing, health care, and film industries.
Paul regularly counsels companies on the liability of board members and managing directors, including directors and officers liability insurance (D&O), as well as on compliance with the legal framework at the company and group levels. He has extensive experience with separation and liability processes in and out of court; in implementing compensation and benefits systems, including operational pensions; in litigation, arbitration, and negotiations involving employment issues; in supporting human resource departments in matters with employment agencies and in tax and social security issues; and advising on secondments and international HR projects.
In addition, Paul has significant experience advising on issues of data privacy at the workplace, including the negotiation and implementation of approval processes, data privacy policies, inter-company agreements, and data privacy violations and liabilities.
Paul is a board member of pro bono Deutschland e.V., an organization supported by law firms advocating for the establishment and promotion of pro bono work in Germany. He is also an honorary professor at the faculty of law at FernUniversität Hagen.
