Jorge Cantón counsels public and private companies on corporate law and contractual law matters, with a focus on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs, corporate restructurings, and other strategic transactions. He advises a diverse clientele of Spanish and international companies, ranging from publicly traded corporations to emerging start-ups across various jurisdictions and industries such as health care, manufacturing, real estate, new technologies, and financial services.
Jorge also advises clients on data protection and privacy matters, particularly in the context of corporate transactions and compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and related EU and national data protection legislation. His experience includes assisting companies with the implementation of privacy policies, managing data breach response strategies, and navigating regulatory requirements related to the processing and transfer of personal data.
