Miguel Bermúdez de Castro has more than 25 years of experience representing international clients on cross-border corporate and finance matters. Miguel leads the M&A corporate practice in Madrid and has participated in matters involving private equity, corporate restructurings, project finance, and concessions. He has advised on transactions in a range of sectors such as infrastructure, energy, industrial, technology, construction, food and beverage, real estate, health care, sports, and media. He has worked with many Spanish companies on their international expansion into new markets such as Latin America.
Miguel's recent engagements include the representation of international funds and entities in acquisitions, sales, investments, and restructuring transactions. Recently, he has advised I.A.C. Group on the sale of assets to Flex-N-Gate; CBRE IM on its investment in Via Célere, its joint venture agreement with TCC, and other investments in logistics platforms; Eneos on its investment in C2X; Société Générale on the sale of part of its equipment financing business to BPCE; EIB in the financing of Heura; Geely Group in its joint venture with Renault for the development and supply of hybrid combustion engines; Timken Group in the acquisition of Nadella; Grupo Paraguas in the acquisition and investment in food and beverage relevant projects; FleetCor in the acquisition of Global Reach Group; Bridgepoint and Deustche Balaton in the sale of their technology business in WFG to Allfunds; and EagleTree Capital's portfolio company, The Fuse Group, in the acquisition of the leading audiovisual company El Ranchito.
Miguel serves as secretary to the board of several companies and teaches at the IE Business School.
