Jones Day advised HD Supply, Inc. ("HDS") in its $8.8 billion acquisition by The Home Depot, Inc. ("Home Depot"). Home Depot acquired HDS for a purchase price of $56 per share. The acquisition resulted in the merger of HDS, a leading wholesale MRO distributor in North America, with Home Depot, the world’s largest home improvement retailer.
