Qualcomm asserts patent infringement claims against Apple for its sale of infringing iPhones, iPads, and Apple Watches

Jones Day represented Qualcomm Incorporated against Apple Inc. in a patent infringement lawsuit involving Qualcomm's cutting edge smartphone technologies. The asserted patents disclose and claim Qualcomm battery-charging technology, content delivery technology, machine-learning technology, stepped gain mixer technology, image processing technology, and circuitry technology.

The lawsuit settled in April 2019 when Qualcomm and Apple reached a global settlement of all litigation between the companies worldwide. The settlement included payment by Apple to Qualcomm, a six-year license agreement with a two-year option to extend, and a multiyear chipset supply agreement.
