American Midstream Partners successfully enforces bankruptcy sale order related to natural gasoline contract

Jones Day successfully moved to enforce a bankruptcy sale order under which a third party was obligated to assume and accept assignment of a natural gasoline purchase agreement between a debtor and American Midstream Partners, LP. After expedited discovery and an emergency evidentiary hearing, the Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas required the third party to comply with the sale order by accepting assignment of the contract and paying roughly $538,000 as a cure amount to American Midstream.
