Jones Day advised Toyota Tsusho America, Inc. (TAI) in the acquisition of Country Pure Foods, Inc. (CPF), a major U.S. food service juice manufacturer. CPF was acquired by Silver Springs Citrus, Inc. (SSC), a U.S. fruit beverage manufacturing joint venture between TAI and Sapporo International. With the acquisition, TAI and the Sapporo Group jointly expand their beverages business in North America, the world's largest beverages market.
