Pat Leddy has helped companies successfully complete acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures for more than 25 years. He has substantial experience in multijurisdictional, cross-border, and international transactions that have earned him BTI Client Service All-Star and MVP recognitions. He has advised on transactions around the world, including Brazil, Belgium, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, India, Egypt, South America, Italy, Vietnam, Singapore, Germany, China, France, Turkey, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Spain, Norway, and Japan. Pat has been the lead outside M&A lawyer for a number of clients for years, creating a deep understanding of their business, strategic goals, risk tolerances, and deal practices. He also has substantial experience in advising and resolving complex contractual disputes, particularly in the aerospace industry, and post-closing transaction disputes.
Pat's recent representative matters include advising: Parker-Hannifin on its $4.3 billion acquisition of CLARCOR and divestiture of its aviation fuel filtration business; advising Chart Industries on its $410 million acquisition of Hudson Products; Ferro on a series of transactions, including Endeka Ceramics (Spain), PT Utama Materials (Indonesia), UWiz Technology (Taiwan), and Ernst Diegel (Germany); Sotera Health/Nelson Labs on its acquisitions of Toxikon Europe and Gibraltar Laboratories; and RPM International on a series of transactions, including SPS Group (Netherlands), Kemtile (UK), Carboline (Dalian) Paints (China), Spraymate Group (South Africa), and a joint venture with Ege Kimya (Turkey).
Pat is a frequent speaker on a variety of M&A matters, including representation and warranty insurance, contractual disputes, and international M&A and joint ventures. He is also an active member of the American Bar Association's Negotiated Acquisition Committee.
