American Greetings acquires Papyrus trademark and wholesale business

Client(s) American Greetings Corporation

Jones Day advised American Greetings on the simultaneous divestiture of its retail business, including 341 retail stores, and acquisition of the wholesale business of Schurman Fine Papers, including the Papyrus trademark. Schurman Fine Papers owns and franchises card and gift retail stores operating under the name Papyrus and added American Greetings and Carlton retail stores to their operations as a result of the transaction.
