Jones Day represented a founder and former CEO of a real estate company that offered a sale/leaseback product to homeowners who could not secure traditional financing or who otherwise face financial distress. The Michigan Attorney General's Office investigated the company and its officers in connection with allegations that it misled or defrauded consumers. Jones Day negotiated a civil settlement for its client.
