Stallergenes licenses allergy medicine for Japanese cedar immunotherapy to Shionogi

Jones Day's Paris, Tokyo and San Diego offices represented Stallergenes in a distribution and license agreement with Shionogi & Co. Ltd. involving tablets for providing immunotherapy to allergies for Japanese cedar in Japan. Under the terms of the agreement, the parties will collaboratively conduct pre-clinical development work, Shionogi will conduct clinical trials in Japan using Stallergenes' proprietary formulation and seek/obtain regulatory approval, and Stallergenes will manufacture and supply the product to Shionogi for its distribution in Japan. Stallergenes will receive an immediate upfront payment, development and regulatory milestones payments, as well as sales milestones and royalties.
