
India Business Law Journal names Jones Day to Top Foreign Law Firms list; three partners named to "International A-List"
The India Business Law Journal (IBLJ) has recognized Jones Day as one of the world's top foreign law firms for India-related matters in 2025. This marks the 17th consecutive year that the Firm has been included on the list. The findings are based on extensive consultations with India-focused corporate counsel worldwide and partners at Indian law firms.
In addition, IBLJ has named Sushma Jobanputra, Vinay Kurien, and Parveet Singh Gandoak to the 2025 edition of its "International A-List," an annual ranking of 100 leading lawyers based outside of India who are highly recommended for their experience in India-related legal work.

Ms. Jobanputra serves as Partner-in-Charge of the Singapore Office. For more than three decades, she has advised clients on banking, restructuring, and corporate matters. She has practiced in London, Toronto, Paris, and Singapore, and her practice includes advising clients on complex cross-border financing arrangements and debt restructurings as well as corporate reorganizations across Asia.
Based in Singapore and a partner in the Financial Markets Practice, Mr. Kurien has worked on a variety of cross-border debt transactions as well as a range of transformative business and corporate restructuring matters.
Also based in Singapore and a partner in the Corporate Practice, Mr. Gandoak advises clients on a range of corporate transactions, including public and private mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, minority and control investments, secondary transactions, and exits across Asia Pacific, the United States, and Europe. He has worked in New York, Hong Kong, London, and Singapore, and has experience across industries including telecom, technology, renewable energy, infrastructure, and private equity.
