陈炽曾任上海美国商会知识产权委员会的联席主席，自2004年以来代理客户处理与中国有关的复杂跨境知识产权事项。许多跨国公司委托陈炽在中国专利局和专利法庭保护其知识产权，并降低其在中国相关技术交易中的知识产权风险。许多中国客户委托陈炽管理其专利和商业秘密海外诉讼和许可技术，以及创建全球知识产权资产。

陈炽是众达中国知识产权业务团队和当地律师团队的负责人。他代理各个行业的客户处理中国专利审查委员会和知识产权法院的专利无效和侵权纠纷，他代理过的客户包括制药公司赛尔基因（Celgene）、半导体制造公司科锐（Cree）、消费类电子产品公司（SharkNinja）、家用品劳氏公司（Lowes）以及化学公司美利肯（Milliken)。他为西方公司了解与技术进出口、高新技术企业、网络安全、外国专利申请和人类基因材料相关的许多中国法规提供指导。他曾与众达的美国和欧洲诉讼律师开展合作，代理中国客户处理涉及专利侵权、美国国际贸易委员会337条款调查、商业秘密窃取和经济经济间谍指控的相关诉讼。
