Tarek Abdalla represents contractors, owners, developers, equipment suppliers, engineers, and architects in major public and private projects in the energy and construction industries including power plants, pipelines, and other energy infrastructure. He has considerable experience with matters involving industrial and manufacturing facilities, municipal infrastructure, roads, bridges, and commercial developments. Tarek has practiced and lived in the United States and in the Middle East.

Tarek has worked on disputes throughout the United States and in Europe and the Middle East. He has handled arbitrations before the International Chamber of Commerce, the Abu Dhabi Commercial Conciliation and Arbitration Centre, the Dubai International Arbitration Centre, the London Court of International Arbitration, the International Centre for Dispute Resolution, and the American Arbitration Association.

Prior to joining Jones Day in 2019, Tarek represented a private developer in an arbitration relating to the termination of an international consulting firm in a $2 billion mixed-use development project in the Middle East and advised parties on some of the largest infrastructure projects in the Middle East.

Tarek lectures frequently on construction and energy topics and has authored articles that have appeared in national and international publications.
