Jack Farrar advises clients on complex real estate development, development finance, energy, data center, and infrastructure projects in both transactional and contentious contexts. Jack has experience in a broad range of sectors, including office, residential, logistics, student housing, and data centers in the United Kingdom and internationally. He also has in-depth experience in the Building Safety Act and higher-risk buildings.

Jack represents developers, real estate funds and investors, funders, large property owners, contractors, and high net worth individuals including Blackstone, Goldman Sachs, Greystar, IQ, KKR, La Caisse, Logistics Capital Partners, and Pinewood Studios.

Jack is a member of the Society of Construction Law (SCL) and regularly contributes to articles for the Firm and in the industry press.

  • Logistics Capital Partners forms £250 million ultra-urban London logistics joint venture with Invesco Real EstateJones Day advised Logistics Capital Partners in relation to the formation of a joint venture with Invesco Real Estate that acquired Veridion Park in Thamesmead, London from housing association Peabody Trust. The project is expected to deliver 800,000 sq ft of multi-let urban logistics space.
  • KKR purchases UK student accommodation portfolioJones Day represented KKR in its £230 million acquisition of a high-quality portfolio of seven purpose-built student accommodation assets from Curlew Student Trust II (funded by clients of CBRE Investment Management).

  • Greystar commences transformative build-to-rent scheme in Bermondsey, LondonJones Day advised a joint venture partnership between Greystar Real Estate Partners, LLC and a wholly owned subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), on the progression of their landmark development in Bermondsey, London, including the appointment of leading construction firms, McLaren, McAleer & Rushe and Sisk, to simultaneously construct four key buildings to deliver 1,286 new homes, the sale of part of the scheme to London Square to develop 338 Social Rent homes which will be operated by Square Roots as registered provider and a £600 million debt facility from a consortium of four lenders, Standard Chartered Bank (SCB), First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation (OCBC), and Emirates NBD (ENBD).
