Total invests in Konarka Technologies

Jones Day represented Total S.A., the leading French multinational energy company, in connection with its $45 million investment in Konarka Technologies, Inc., a developer of flexible, polymer and nanoparticle-based PV module technology that converts sunlight and indoor light into direct current electrical energy that can be incorporated into a wide range of applications. Jones Day also assisted Total with the R&D and cooperation agreements entered into by six Total entities with Konarka concomitantly with the closing of the investment.
